Gaining Retention & Achievement for Students Program (GRASP)

 GRASP (Gaining Retention and Achievement for Students Program) helps faculty integrate alternative teaching strategies which engage students in their classes. A fundamental assumption of GRASP is faculty are crucial to student retention and achievement, hence the primary focus on faculty. GRASP focuses on incorporating faculty's teaching behaviors which increase student retention and achievement.  The intent of the program is to bring about a change in faculty's teaching practices by incorporating instructional strategies which support student success.  GRASP includes several components; collection of student learning styles, weekly observations of faculty teaching, and weekly discussions and implementation of alternative teaching strategies.
